CARBON CAPTURE & USE

Our patented carbon capture process is housed in a stainless steel chassis described as a Membrane Gas Recovery Unit (MGRU). Membrane elements are encased into stainless steel vessels. Our membrane elements are designed to separate methane (C1) and ethane (C2) while transforming associated gas from crude oil streams into natural gas liquids (NGLs) i.e. (C3++) to reduce the volume of toxic emissions from C1 and C2 that are emitted by a flare stack, while retaining valuable Y-Grade permeate (C3+) for commercial and sustainable uses, depending on the mole% of the C3+ components of the gas stream.

The C3+ permeate is removed as a liquid. All of the gaseous components, i.e. CH4, C2H6, CO2, H2S, N2 etc. stay with the residual gas stream and go to the flare or to the pipeline. By capturing the C3+ from the gas, under certain conditions we may reduce the amount of CO2 emitted at the flare up to 55%.
